WHAT IS DHOLERA SIR?
Dholera SIR (DSIR) is a Greenfield Industrial City planned and located approximately 100km South West of Ahmedabad.
Government of Gujarat has created legislative framework for formation of a Special Investment Region Act 2009. Under the act, a regional development authority for Dholera SIR has been established. The Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA) has the responsibility of planning and development of DSIR and will encompass the function of administering government land within Dholera Smart City.
An SPV named Dholera SIR Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL) is created between Central Government (DMICDC Trust) and State Government (DSIRDA) Gujarat to implement the Dholera SIR Development Project.
Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC), a special purpose company, was incorporated to establish, promote and facilitate development of the DMIC Project.

Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is a Central Government infrastructure initiative aimed at developing future greenfield industrial cities as "Smart Cities" and converging next generation smart hi-tech technologies. The aim to create futuristic industrial cities through High Speed-High Connectivity enabled by the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), the Flagship programme of the Government of India, is being established, promoted, and facilitated through an SPV Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd. (DMICDC).
Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation(DMICDC), a special purpose company, was incorporated to establish, promote and facilitate development of DMIC project. It undertakes Dholera SIR project development services for investment regions / industrial areas / economic regions / industrial nodes and townships, for various central government agencies and also assists state governments of Dholera Smart City.

It'll be functional in 2024-2025.
